About the role
We are seeking an engaging heritage professional with experience of community engagement to deliver the Activity Plan for Haringey’s £2.3 million Heritage Lottery funded Townscape Heritage Initiative. Learning activities will be linked to the restoration of 28 historic buildings in North Tottenham as part of the wider regeneration of the area.
Building enthusiasm for the historic environment among businesses and the wider community will help sustain the conservation improvements. You will liaise with local schools, colleges, community organisations, traders and artists to create a range of learning events and resources. You will coordinate volunteer involvement and assist with recruiting and training Heritage Champions.
You will have enthusiasm for and experience of working with the public and volunteers. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to develop sustainable links with a wide range of stakeholders to promote the historic environment of North Tottenham.
You will be an educator with demonstrable experience of working in a local history museum and archive environment, along with an understanding of the importance of regeneration to the community.
