The HTF welcomes this initiative and would be particularly interested to hear the experiences of member towns in this pilot - tell us what you think

The Association of Town Centre Management (ATCM) is establishing a High Street Innovation Group to help the fund recipients, offering on-line webinars, from augmenting face to face gatherings on key topics to spread information on different approaches to tackling the blight of empty shops.

Martin Blackwell, ATCM Chief Executive said, "We recognise that £100,000, while useful, is not a panacea. It is vital that local authorities spend it wisely, learning from what has been achieved already.  Additionally, we want all locations across the UK, beneficiaries or not, to benefit from the knowledge gained as new ideas are piloted."

Chris Wade at Action for Market Towns believes that improving the use of the High Street Innovations Fund is key to ensuring that High Streets are at the Heart of our Communities.
