English Heritage Launches Corporate Plan 2011-15

On 23 May John Penrose MP, Minister for Heritage and Tourism, launched English Heritage’s Corporate Plan at a high-profile cross-sector event at Apsley House, Number 1 London. Keynote speakers included Princess Antonia, Marchioness of Douro; Baroness Andrews; John Penrose MP and Simon Thurley.

The Plan outlines the context for their work over the next four years in terms of funding cuts, partnership working, efficiencies and commercial growth. It focuses on the four key aims of Understanding (Identify and protect our most important heritage); Valuing (Champion England’s heritage); Caring (Support owners, local authorities and voluntary organisations to look after England’s heritage); Enjoying (Help people appreciate and enjoy England’s national story); and is underpinned by a fifth aim relating to Excellence (Achieve excellence, openness and efficiency in all we do).
